I was invited by Silainiai Project to spend four weeks in Silainiai Microdistrict in Kaunas, Lithuania, to make work in collaboration with the local community. With Covid-19 restriction in place we created work that enabled residents to communicate beyond digital means, at a distance and in public.

Kiemų Jungtys connects three neighbouring squares. We mapped out a walk through the neighbourhood paved with supportive messages, portraits of residents, window displays greeting passers-by and fellow neighbours. The portraits came alive by connecting the outdoor-images to the waving videos via QR codes.
