Dear Clare Booklets
From time to time I self-publishe A6 booklets called Dear Clare - booklets about issues I feel particularly strongly about. In the booklets she writes a letter to her friend Clare, who doesn't concern herself with human rights or injustice issues much. Janke hopes to engage Clare by casually talking about her personal experiences whilst shooting the stories. The booklets are launched alongside public displays of the images featured with each letter and are distributed in
cafes, bookshops and anywhere else they are wanted.
Dear Clare promote a more conscious and proactive approach to life and encourage political thinking and people power using strong visual story telling as tool. DC are about solidarity and the responsibility of the individual to protect and fight for human, civil, animal and environmental rights. It's about learning, getting involved, being proactive and believing that we all have the power to create change.
